# AssetManager update and public source package

This public package intentionally does **not** contain:

- `.env`
- `data/config/config.json` or the runtime-specific `data/config/APPINFO.json`
- PostgreSQL data
- uploads, logs, backups, or deployed runtime scripts
- local database files or old source-code backups

Copying this package over an existing installation does not overwrite existing configuration, passwords, or user data.

## Updating an existing installation

1. Back up `.env` and the complete `data/` directory.
2. Copy the contents of the new `assetmanager/` directory over the existing project directory.
3. Run `docker compose down`.
4. Run `docker compose up -d --build`.
5. Run `docker compose logs --tail=100 -f`.

## Recreating the sanitized public source archive
